![]() We also have an Android version of our app that uses your Android streaming SDK and it also works very good. Although there are certainly some bugs in the “ios-streaming-sdk”, they are very few and don’t affect our app. We only use "playlist" functions and after fixing a couple of bugs in the "metadata framework" available on github, everything works 100%. We believe our app gives Spotify many many new subscribers, so many that it would actually pay off for Spotify to maintain the "ios-streaming-sdk". Many users switch from other streaming services such as "Apple Music", Tidal, Amazon Music etc to Spotify just to be able to slow down streaming music in real time. ![]() It might be that the "ios-streaming-sdk" is more difficult to use for an average developer but that also makes it more powerful. In our case it makes it possible to access the raw audio samples and this way process the sound and then playback the processed audio using our regular audio playback engine. The "ios-streaming-sdk" is a beautifully designed framework that lets an audio developer do practically everything needed. Our particular app (Amazing Slow Downer) lets the user play music more slowly, since a couple of years ago also songs from Spotify. We have been using those SDKs since they became available. Why discontinue support for Amazing Slow Downer?.I am sure all the other controls are useful, but each time I need to set start and stop, I need to swipe a number of times to get to each set control. It would be a lot easier to have the set loop start and stop next to each other. There is a bunch of controls like "loop is on", "manage loops", "half loop", "double loop", "slide loop backwards", "slide loop forward", and then I get to set loop end. The only problem is that I need to swipe several times to get to the end point button after setting the start point. For the loop start and end, I can easily set the beginning and end loop points. Also as I stated above I cannot get the rate change to work For the page number example, voiceover automatically reads the new page value. I need to swipe down to the pitch value to hear what I have done. etc.Īlso when I finally get the pitch to change, voiceover does not announce the new value. Just reaching over to the phone screen and swiping up or down is a lot easier than double tapping. On my right hand I have 2 finger picks and one thumb pick. Once the page number changes, voiceover automatically announces the new value. All I need to do at this point is to swipe up or down to change the page number. I swipe my finger over to the page number I hear "page x of x adjustable" voiceover says "double tap to open spotlight swipe up or down to adjust the value". At the bottom of the screen there is a page number. It would be wonderful if the pitch could change one semitone at a time in addition to the decimal movement.Īs far as sliders and change of pitch or tone it would be great if the pitch and tone changes worked like changing the page number of the iPhone screens. I am looking to move from g to a or some other full semitone for each slideįor the rate no matter how many times I double tap hear the tone and slide my finger, the rate does not change. 48 of a semitone) For those ho want the granularity of pitch that may be fine. I am moving the semitones up and down a small percentage with each slide (.25 or. I can get the pitch slider to work some of the times. I appreciate you working with me to get asd working for me. Below find my summary letter I sent this morning I have exchanged several emails with the developers. I have found the app mostly accessible with voiceover except for the important Items listed below. I downloaded the latest version of ASD free version 6.7.7 I am using an iPhone 14 pro with IOS 16.1. ![]() The app is high priced and I confess I got it when it was $5 but I love it so much I payed full price to gift it to my daughter who's a singer. ![]() Setting the songs to mono helps greatly when using pitch and or time change as far as quality goes. The app lets you save multiple loops for each song and a lot more. Great for putting a song that's slightly off concert pitch into correct pitch to save having to retune to the song. You can change pitch by fractions of a semitone for example. When moving within the timeline or adjusting pitch/time etc, after double tapping and holding until the tritone, moving up the screen before moving left or right decreases the incrimental movement so you can fine tune. When I had to learn 15 songs in a week and a half for an out of the blue gig it was invaluable. I've used it a lot with both time and pitch changes as well as the loop feature. I only found this app this year but as far as accessibility goes, I have no problem.
